A place of meeting, dialog, knowledge and networking around the jewels and his authors. Where associations, schools, teachers, publishing houses, galleries, designers and artists experienced and new will have their own space.

 

The days are divided in two different actions:

 

1. Conferences and round tables (2 days and a half)

2. Showroom (exhibition, networking and direct sale between the artist and the public)

 

Why Madrid?

 

Everyone knows that both Barcelona and Valencia the same as Galicia are pioneers in the spread and creation of the design jewellery. From Jewellery Art Madrid, we consider that the capital of Spain has a significant cultural and artistic offer, active and alive than other cities do not have. The power of attraction of this city is by far superior to the rest.

 

Having this in mind we believe that it is a good emplacement to launch this proposition with an special value both for the city and for the artist. So there are many designers, jewellers, plastic artists and activists who decide to use this new language, adhered to this new artistic discipline, every day more in rise.

 

Offering the only opportunity up to the moment to announce to the world that the city of Madrid and especially it institutions want to be added to the initiative of forefront which already other pionneering cities have joined in Europa and in the USA.

 

Target

 

This first edition aims to bring together associations, schools, teachers, publishers, artists and designers, experienced and new ones, the same as private entities related to art and jewelry.

 

Placing jewelry copyright in the place that many of us beieve it deserves, positioning it as a new visual language.

 

Current jewellery expresses in the same manner as other artistic disciplines, feelings, emotions, actions and reactions, increasingly distancing itself of being a mere body ornament.

 

JEWELRY ART MADRID aims to promote the work of artists dedicated to this discipline, through difussion and communication, dialogue between the artists and professionals from both sectors, artistic and jeweller. Through conferences and roundtables transmit the expert knowledge. Konowing the jewellery avant much riskier and that ones that uses noble materials such as alternative ones.

 

Introduce to the professional and general public a new vision of the creative jewel universe

 

Showing the world of the jewel to a more broaded industry with an international vision, opening participation to any artist, curator, teache, associations, entity regardless of origin.

 

To open a window to the where artists can make known his most recent works, creating an inviting space where you can make new bussiness contacts, but mostly collaborative dialiogue and knowledge within the world of contemporary jewellery.

 

It will be published a book/catalog to collect in full a summary of seminars, interviews with speakers, the jury for the selecction criteria, and of course, a personal space for each artist.
